Boeing maintains a corporate center of excellence for integrated circuit design in the Solid-State Electronics Development organization (SSED). A staff of over forty application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) engineers focuses on specialized capability highly valuable for aerospace electronics. A full suite of computer aided design tools is maintained including capability for design creation, radio frequency (RF), digital, mixed-signal simulation, automated layout, and design verification. The Boeing SSED team is a fully certified Department of Defense Category 1A Trusted Design Center.
